Welcome to the Options for Breast Reconstruction DVD. The aim of this disk is to allow you to explore the options available for breast reconstruction including the reasons why we offer different types of reconstruction and which type is most suitable for which people. There is also a video animation of each type of reconstruction so that you know what the operation involves and what to expect after the operation.

This disk is designed to be used in conjunction with your visits to your surgeons, in case you don't remember everything that was said. Also, you may want to use this disk to help discuss the details and choices involved in breast reconstruction with your family and friends, to give them information to better support you as you make your decisions.

It must be very daunting being confronted with such a large amount of new information, but my hope is that by the time you finish reading the Introduction chapter, you will have gained an understanding of all of the decisions you will be asked to make, and you will be ready to discover more detail about each reconstructive option available to you.

To use this disk, please browse the different chapters by clicking on the various options in the box on the left side of your screen. This action will alter the text in the window you are currently reading.
